You are here: Home > GREEN & SUSTAINABLE
The green and sustainable market is filled with many organizations that are focused on providing the following:
  • Education concerning green products and living practices
  • Opinions and supporting information about key environmental issues
  • Trade practices that are designed to encourage green and sustainable living.
However, it's often difficult to find clear and unbiased information about particular products with regard to how they meet green and sustainability guidelines. BGN's approach is to spend time researching and evaluating products, keeping up with the latest green and sustainability guidelines, and then selecting the best in class products against these criteria. This section provides some jumping off points so you can learn more about green and sustainability guidelines. Enjoy! If you have some great web sources that you think we should consider, send a link to TAG@buygreennow.com and we'll have a look.

Fair Trade

BuyGreenNow is working in partnership with several companies that provide products via fair trade arrangements. There are both sanctioned and informal fair trade agreements in use worldwide; the intent is similar: to provide non-exploitive commerce to regions of the world in which there is substantial sub-standard living conditions. With the use of fair trade mechanisms, these producers are typically paid prices for their goods with the intent to provide enough product revenue so that the producers can become self-sufficient, hopefully thrive, and also invest to improve the living conditions in the community from which the goods are produced.
